El tifón Jebi tocó tierra en la prefectura de Tokushima alrededor del mediodía hora local del martes (03:00 GMT) y se movió hacia el norte mientras vientos registrados de hasta 135 mph (216 km / h).

El tifón ha dejado destrucción a su paso con 600 heridos y 11 pérdidas de vidas reportadas. Fue el tifón más fuerte de Japón desde 1993 y esto lo comprueba:
